Thank you! Sorry not to approve this earlier; I somehow stopped getting notifications.

In any case, I'm glad you've been reading so long, and it is wonderful to hear from you.

Quissitica beans are a rather coarse and large bean. In their favor, they grow easily, and come ripe at times of year when other beans do not, and they are quite nutritious. In their disfavor, they rather stink when they cook, and somewhat when they are served as well. They taste harsh and beany, but not too bad, but oh! The smell!

I've kept reading it since a bit before Sythyry's Vacation started, and it's probably past time to say that I really do appreciate the serial. As a continuation of probably the most well-designed, unique fantasy setting I've seen since Tolkien, it's great to have more material out there for it.

I enjoyed the shift to Sythyry's Vacation from Sythyry's Journal, and am pretty interested in seeing more of the intricacies of the magic system (Feralan's melding with the Locador demon and Brondigance's history were both high points in the story for me), as well as weird magical creatures. Social dynamics beyond the transaffectionate are also interesting (like the monster-friendly prime group with the norren that Sythyry healed.) These things stress World Tree's uniqueness and depth.

As far as the current plotline, I like it. Embezzling is not quite the standard fantasy crime, and that helps to keep me curious.

But most importantly: what are quissitica beans?
